Troubleshooting |
If at anytime you can't send and receive mail, follow these steps:
(1) Check Your Internet Connection
If you can't get online, re-boot
- Your e-mail won't work if you can't
get online
If that doesn't work, contact you ISP
- Your ISP is your Internet Service
Provider
- Examples: Cox, Bellsouth, Comcast,
i-55, etc.

(2) Close all Programs, Reboot
Norton or a spyware program may be causing issues.
- Make sure you can get online.
If you still can't send or receive mail, use Webmail

(3) Use Webmail: www.yourdomain.com/webmail/
An e-mail with a large file attachment may be stuck on
the
server and cannot download to your
computer. You must
delete this e-mail from the server
before you can view
your e-mails on Outlook Express.

(4) Check your mail program settings.
The "Servers Tab" settings should be:
- Incoming Mail (POP3): mail.yourdomain.com
- Outgoing Mail (SMTP): Your ISP's
setting (see list below)
ISP Settings:
- default: mail.yourdomain.com
- Cox: smtp.cox.east.net
- Bellsouth: mail.bellsouth.net
- i-55: mail.i-55.com
- Comcast: smtp.comcast.net
- Verizon: outgoing.verizon.net
- Verizon Wireless: smtp.vzwmail.net

(5) Can receive e-mail, but can't send e-mail?
Authentication needs to be selected on the outgoing mail.
- This can be modified in your e-mail
account settings.
